Who is eligible?

Most year-round positions are eligible to enroll in the District’s group insurance plan.

When do benefits start?

Benefits begin the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment for eligible employees.

How do I sign up?

Eligible employees will receive an email from the Employee Benefits department with instructions on how to enroll and an enrollment deadline. You will make your elections on-line using Employee Self-Service. Since elections are time-sensitive, please contact Amber Justice if you do not receive this information.

How much does it cost?

Access the Premium Rate Chart for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Legal Services premiums.

Reduced dependent premium rates are available for two married employees of the School Board. To qualify for reduced rates, both employees must be in benefit-eligible positions.

If you already have health benefits and do not have a need for the District’s plan, you may waive participation in the health plan and receive $1,200 in taxable income. Please note, you MUST be currently enrolled in another medical plan for this benefit.

What are the employee Health and Wellness Centers?

The health and wellness centers, managed by My Health Onsite, are dedicated for use for individuals who are covered under the District’s group health insurance program. These health centers offer primary care type services, to include chonic disease management, popular medications, health risk assessments, lab work, disease management, health coaching & education, and occupational health services at no cost to you.

Working Spouse Exclusion

Effective January 1, 2017, if an employee’s spouse is employed and has access to medical coverage through his/her employer, he/she is not eligible for coverage under Pasco’s group medical plan. However, you are still able to enroll your spouse in voluntary benefits such as dental, vision or other applicable voluntary benefits.
