The Pasco School District is participating in an adoption of Social Studies Curriculum aligned to the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards/ Florida's State Academic Standards for 2023 and beyond; to include the Florida Civics and Government Standards.  The Office of Leading & Learning has been actively working with our district department partners, teachers, school leaders, and engaged the community to complete the process. The courses below were submitted for vendor solicitation. The final School Board approved resources are listed below. The timeline for the School Board Approval process is also listed below. Additionally, per Florida Statute 1006.28, each district school board must establish a process by which the parent of a public school student or a resident of the county may contest the district school board’s adoption of a specific instructional material. The parent or resident must file a petition, on this form, within 30 calendar days after the adoption of the instructional material by the school board. The deadline for this form to be complete is May 16, 2024.
