The District’s bloodborne pathogens exposure control plan is designed to limit occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials in compliance with Florida Department of Health 64E-16 Administrative Code, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030 and the Department of Transportation 49 CFR. This training is critical to your safety and our compliance with laws and regulations.

Post-Offer Employment Testing (POET) allows the District to make a conditional offer of employment to a potential candidate based on him/her demonstrating that he/she meets the specific, essential physical functions of a specific job. All POETs are conducted at:

Screeners
In order to protect the health and safety of staff, students, and volunteers, all those who access Pasco County School locations, including vaccinated individuals, must self-screen daily for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19.
All stakeholders (staff, students, visitors) are required to perform the self-screener, INCLUDING vaccinated individuals.
The screener is required daily, and will be linked on each school's website as well as the district website.

Protocols
Pasco County School District continues to follow guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and the Florida Department of Health. Students and/or parents and guardians are expected to monitor their child daily for signs of infectious diseases, including COVID-19, influenza, respiratory viruses, and gastrointestinal infections using the 2023-2024 Employee Screener. An individual exhibiting symptoms should stay home and consider getting tested for COVID-19, when appropriate.
