Testing for Home Education Students (Grades 3-12)
Home Education students in grades 3–12 may participate in a variety of assessments offered at their zoned school as long as they are a resident of Pasco County and register for testing by the registration deadline. These assessments include:
- PSAT/NMSQT
- SAT
- Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
- State Testing
Below you’ll find details about each assessment, including eligibility, testing windows, fees, and registration information. Once registered for testing, students will receive a confirmation email which will direct them to contact the zoned school's assessment coordinator to schedule their testing date and time.
PSAT/NMSQT
- Who: Students in grades 9–12
- Purpose: Can fulfill the Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirement
- Subjects: Reading, Writing & Language, and Math
- Fee: $14.00 (non-refundable registration/sitting fee)
- Testing Window: October 1 – October 31, 2026*
- Testing Registration Window and Link: TBA
SAT
- Who: Students in Grade 11 needing to fulfill Grade 10 ELA or Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirements
- Purpose: Measures literacy, numeracy, and writing skills for college readiness
- Fee: Contact your zoned school after registration approval for the non-refundable registration/sitting fee
- Testing Window: March 2 – March 27, 2026*

Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
- Who: Students in Grades 9–12
- Purpose: Measures mastery of AP course content and skills
- Fee:

Spring State Testing
- Who:Students in Grades 3–12 students, EOC graduation requirements
- Purpose: Can fullfill the annual educational evaluation requirement and the Algebra 1 EOC and Grade 10 ELA graduation requirements
- Fee: None
- Testing Window: March 30 - May 29, 2026*
- Testing Registration Window and Link: January 6 - February 13, 2026
