HOME EDUCATION STATE TESTING REGISTRATION PROCESS
Home Education students will test at their zoned school during Pasco's summer state testing window which is July 10-13, 2023. However, individual schools may test any time within that window and not all tests may be offered on all days. This is up to the school. The deadline to register a home education student for summer testing is Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The following tests will be administered this summer:
Eligible students are those who will be taking the test for the first time as well as students who wish to re-take a test.
To participate in summer state testing, students must meet TWO requirements. First, the student must be registered as a Home Education student in Pasco County AND the student must register for state testing. Students who do not meet both of these requirements will not be permitted to sit for the test. Information for both of the steps is outlined below.
STEP 1 - Registering as a Home Education Student

STEP 2 - Registering for State Testing
To register a home education student for summer testing, the below form must be completed by no later than Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Once the student is registered for state testing, their Home Education status in Pasco County will be verified and an email will be sent to the parent confirming registration and direction will be given to contact the student's zoned school to schedule a testing date and time.
STATE TESTING ACCOMMODATIONS (COMPUTER-BASED OR PAPER-BASED)
If your child requires an accommodation for testing, the student’s official current IEP or ELL status must be included with Accommodations Form which can be downloaded below:

All of the above information MUST be scanned and emailed to Mary Ch-hab at firstname.lastname@example.org within 5 days of registration.
Home Education students participating in state assessments will be required to to verify their identity on the day of testing. On the testing day, the student and/or parent must have picture identification to sign in for the test administration. Parents should have a government issued ID and a student may have a school issued picture ID or other government issued ID. No other forms of picture ID will be accepted.
ONLINE PRACTICE TEST
All students participating in the tests listed below are required to practice using an online test prior to the test. All students must take an online practice test PRIOR to arriving to the test site for each test. All practice tests can be accessed by going to https://fsassessments.org/families.html and clicking on Prepare your Student.
BEST Algebra, Biology, Civics, BEST Geometry, and United States History
If the student has not practiced prior to taking the test, they will be excused from the test site, and will have to retake the test at the next available test window.
Snacks or lunch will not be provided. In summer only, for NGSSS EOCs, a 30 minute break is provided for a student to eat after the state-required 160 minute sitting. Students should bring a bag lunch.
Please make arrangements prior to testing to drop off and pick up your child from the test site.
