Home Education State Testing

ONLINE REGISTRATION:
In order for home education students to participate in testing, they will need to complete the online registration process. 

There are several windows that are coming up.  The test window, test, and deadline to register are listed below:

  • February 20 - March 10/Grade 10 ELA Reading Retake, Grade 10 ELA Writing Retake, and Algebra 1 Retake.  The deadline to register for this window is Friday, February 3rd.
  • April 17 - May 16/Florida Civic Literacy Examination - The deadline to register for this window is Friday, March 10th.
  • May 8 - 10/Grade 5 and Grade 8 Science - The deadline to register for this window is Friday, April 7th.
  • May 1 - May 26/ FAST PM3 ELA Reading Grades K-10 and Math Grades K-8 - The deadline to register for this window is Friday, March 31st.

Once the student is registered you will receive an email confirming the registration.  You will then need to contact the zoned school to receive specific testing dates and times. 


STUDENTS REQUIRING ACCOMMODATIONS:
If a student requires an accommodation for testing, the student’s official current Individual Education Plan (IEP) or English Language Learner (ELL) status must be included with the Accommodations Form (DOWNLOAD IT HERE).   This information MUST be faxed to the Office for Accountability, Research, and Measurement at 813-794-2116

PROPER IDENTIFICATION:
Home education students participating in State testing will be required to bring photo-identification to verify their identity on the day of testing. On the testing day, the student and parent must have picture identification to sign in for the test administration. Parents should have a government issued ID and a student may have a school issued picture ID or other government issued ID. No other forms of picture ID will be accepted.


TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
Please make arrangements prior to testing to pick up your child from the test site.


ONLINE PRACTICE TEST:
Students are required to practice using an online test prior to the test. All students must take an online practice test prior to arriving to the test site for each EOC test..  The practice tests can be found here
