School Improvement and Accountability
Testing Opportunities for Personalized Education Students (Grades 3-12)

Students enrolled in a Personalized Education Plan in grades 3-12 who are current residents of Pasco County may sit for the following standardized assessements at their zoned schools:

  • PSAT/NMSQT (Fall administration)
  • SAT (Spring administration)
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Exams (Spring administration)
  • Spring State Testing (Spring administration)

 PSAT/NMSQT 

  • Eligible Grades: 9-12 
  • Purpose: Standardized test that provides practice for SAT, used for entry into the National Merit Scholarship (11th grade) or can be used as a concordant score to meet graduation requirements.
  • PSAT/NMSQT Testing Window:  October 1-October 31* 
  • Fee:  $18.00 (non-refundable) 
  • Register by the deadline to participate in Fall PSAT/NMSQT Testing.

SAT 

  • Eligible Grade:  11 
  • Purpose: Measures literacy, numeracy, and writing skills.  May be used to fulfill the Grade 10 ELA or Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirements. 
  • SAT Testing Window:  March 2-March 27*
  • SAT Registration Window:  TBA
  • Fee: Contact your zoned school after registration approval for the non-refundable fee.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) EXAMS

  • Eligible Grades:  9-12 
  • Purpose: Measures mastery of specific AP course content and skills.  
  • AP Testing Window:  May 4-May 15* 
  • AP Registration Window: TBA
  • Fee: Contact your zoned school after registration approval for the non-refundable fee.

SPRING STATE TESTING

  • Eligible Grades:  3-12 
  • Purpose: To meet the annual educational evaluation requirement.  May be used to fulfill the Grade 10 ELA or Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirements. 
  • Spring State Testing Windows: 
    • BEST Writing: April 6-April 10* 
    • Florida Civic Literacy Exam: March 30 – May 29* 
    • FAST PM3 ELA (Grades 3–10) & Math (Grades 3–8): May 1 – May 29* 
    • End-of-Course Exams (Algebra, Biology, Civics, Geometry, U.S. History): May 1 – May 29* 
    • FAST Grade 10 ELA Reading Retake: May 1 – May 29* 
    • Statewide Science Assessments (Grades 5 & 8): May 1 – May 29* 
  • Fee: None
