ARTS

Pasco County Schools has a rich history of supporting the arts from elementary through high school. We recognize that the study of music and art needs to start at an early age, which is why students in all of our elementary schools receive weekly study in both areas. In addition, many elementary schools offer before- and after-school opportunities for students to perform in chorus, strings, Orff and electronic music.

Our secondary schools offer performing arts courses, such as dance, theater, chorus, orchestra, steel drums, guitar, keyboard, band, jazz band, music theory and more. We also offer several visual arts courses in 2D, 3D and digital imaging. Visual arts students can participate in one or more of our many district-sponsored art displays throughout the year. Performing students have the benefit of performing in one of our two state-of-the-art, 900-plus-seat performing arts centers. In addition, we offer an All County Music experience for music students in all grade levels. (Watch Video)

INFINITY ACADEMY

The Infinity Academy is a cooperative learning environment where teachers and students work together to create an educational plan tailored to each student’s needs and areas of interest. On a typical day, you will see students either working individually or in pairs, groups, or with teachers, depending on the lesson. Students have the freedom to work ahead in their courses, to explore the depths of topics that interest them, and work ahead in class, which will give them free time to work on an area of struggle. The Infinity Academy is a team, and our students work together to achieve success. Each student is a part of a house with a leadership team and mentors, so all students feel included and have access to resources. The students’ hard work and excellent behavior is rewarded throughout the year with celebrations and field trips to places such as MOSI, Lowry Park Zoo, and Astro Skate. (Watch Video)
