Pasco County is proud to offer three Innovative STEM Dedicated Magnet High Schools! Our three STEM High Schools are: Angeline Academy of Innovation, Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation, and Wendell Krinn Technical High School. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. A STEM dedicated magnet school focuses on these subject areas to prepare students for college, career, and life in the 21st Century. These schools utilize an application and lottery system for students to gain entrance for this specialized education experience. STEM promotes a culture of curiosity by immersing students in authentic learning opportunities that develop their creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication skills in preparation for a rapidly changing world. STEM classrooms have meaningful technology integration as well as collaborative structures that allow for student engagement. Innovative STEM Dedicated Magnet High Schools are schools whose mission is to build a better tomorrow by cultivating the academic and specialized skills that prepare our students for success with a chosen pathway.
Innovative Dedicated STEM Magnet Schools have no traditional school boundary. In Pasco County, we are excited to offer three STEM Pathways: West, Central, and East. Our three Innovative STEM Dedicated Magnet High Schools are available at: Angeline Academy of Innovation, Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation, and Wendell Krinn Technical High School. Our goal is to provide students and families with a true K-12 experience where students leave our schools truly prepared for 21st Century careers.

All students interested must apply to attend AAI, KRAI, or WKTHS utilizing the Pasco Pathways School Choice Application. Students interested in the pathways available at all three high schools will only be able to apply to the program for which they are interested at the school in their designated pathway which can be found here (insert map). For students who live within the orange pathway, the additional STEM programs offered at KRAI and WKTHS will be available on the school choice application for students to apply.
Student applications will be reviewed to ensure the application meets eligibility criteria including: 2.0 GPA and proficiency on the ELA and Math district and/or state assessments. Specific criteria will be outlined in the Pasco Pathways School Choice application for each program. Preferences established in the Controlled Open Enrollment Plan will be followed when the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of seats open. Students residing in district will be given preference, followed by students outside the district. Applicants are randomized and seats are filled by the number of open opportunities designated during the seat setting process. Students not placed during the lottery process will be placed on a randomized waitlist.
Attendance at a magnet school is a choice option, and as such, transportation is not guaranteed. The location and number of hub stops available will be determined by the district. Planned hub stops are listed with each school, but please note that these hubs may not be implemented or continued if there is not sufficient interest or ridership. No additional hub locations will be provided besides those listed. If no hub stop location is listed next to the desired school, no hub stops are planned for that school. Hub locations will be reviewed and finalized in May after the second school choice window acceptances are received and interest in hub transportation can be determined. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the designated hubs or directly to the school.
