Cellular Phones / Toner Cartridges

Cellular Phones

Cellular phones contain copper, silver, palladium, and various other metals. You can just imagine what these harmful metals do to the environment.  Employees and students are encouraged to recycle cellular phones and accessories with a cellular phone recycling company of their choice.  Some sample companies are listed in the Recycling Manual.

Toner Cartridges

Millions of empty toner and inkjet cartridges are thrown in the trash annually, destined for landfills and incinerators.  This is unnecessary because printer cartridges are recyclable.  Black laser toner cartridges should be recycled as often as needed.  Simply place the toner back in a box and label the box with the words “Recycle - Distribution Services”.  Place the used toner cartrdige box in the Courier Services area at your school for collection.  All other types and colors of toner cartridges can be recycled as a fundraiser.  Employees and students are encouraged to recycle these types of toner with a toner recycling company of their choice.
