The National Educator Program (NEP)

The National Educator Program – International Leadership Fellows Institute is intended for all hopeful assistant principals with an Educational Leadership Degree or Certification.  This is an excellent, required program for all future Assistant Principals employed with the District School Board of Pasco County.  Twenty future assistant principals will be accepted into this professional development program each year.

The application for NEP is offered once each school year beginning in the month of March. Interested teachers may then download all pertinent documents as well as the NEP application from this website. Additionally, we will offer two conference calls to assist with the application process. Interested applicants may also contact the Office for Professional Development and School Supports with any additional questions. Applicants have approximately four weeks to complete and then submit their application.

Upon acceptance into the program, the twenty participants complete three segments: The Leadership Intensive, Residency, and Culmination. Please download the NEP Overview document for specific information regarding these segments. Participants will be placed in the K-12 assistant principal pool upon successful completion of one-half of the program with the expectation that they will complete the entire program to remain in the pool.

As always, please feel free to contact our office if you have any further questions.

IMPORTANT - Podcast and supporting documents detailing how to enter the Assistant Principal Pool (in county applicants only).
