Bright Futures Scholarship Program
Enacted by the 1997 Florida Legislature, the Bright Futures Scholarship Program restructured the state's two existing scholarship programs-the Florida Undergraduate Scholars' and the Gold Seal Vocational Endorsement Scholarship Awards into the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. This program subsumes the Florida Academic Scholars Award, the Academic Scholars Certificate Program (for 1998 and 1999 graduates only), the Florida Merit Scholars Award, and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award.
