Planning Services maintains longitudinal historical data on student population trends to determine future school housing needs. Prior to the 2026-2027 school year, the district utilized Average Daily Membership (ADM) as its primary measure of student population. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, the district transitioned to Enrollment as the official metric for student counts and planning purposes.
Enrollment data, in conjunction with Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) projections, helps the district plan for future budget needs and supports the allocation of instructional and non-instructional personnel at the school level. Additionally, enrollment trends provide valuable information for forecasting growth, evaluating facility capacity, and supporting long-range planning efforts across the district. This ensures that schools are appropriately staffed and that facilities can effectively accommodate current and future student populations.
