  • Advancing Leaders Academy
    • Applications open from April 8, 2024 - April 19, 2024.

Advancing Leaders Academy provides school and district leaders with professional learning and personalize growth opportunities related to Leadership Excellence.

  • AP Eligibility Process

    • Assist with the implementation and scoring of scenario and written submissions used to determine assistant principal eligibility
  • New Leader Mentor

    • Serve as a mentor to a new assistant principal
      • Leadership Mentor Training
        • Professional development designed to provide mentors with the knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully support a new leader
  • Preparing New Principal Program (PNPP)

    • ​Application Window: March 1, 2024 -  March 11, 2024
    • Interviews: April 9, 10 and 11, 2024
    • Purpose: The Preparing New Principal Program (PNPP) in Pasco County provides future principal candidates with learning experiences that align with the Florida Principal Leadership Standards as well as Pasco's Vision for Leadership Excellence.  Applicants for School Principal Certification will engage in a yearlong preparation program that requires demonstration of excellence in all core leadership competencies.
    • Requirements: Internal Candidates for this program must:
      • Currently possess a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and have Educational Leadership on their Florida Educator Certificate.
      • Have three years of successful experience serving as a school based assistant principal and currently be in this role.
    • In addition to the below linked internal application, you must complete an application in Talent Ed. The application below outlines all of the tasks that need to be completed during the application window.
    • A candidate interested in the Principal eligibility process may not apply if any of the following have occurred:   

      • Formal Level Discipline within the past five years 
      • Violation of Board Policy 3124.01 – Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing Program 
      • A finding by the Office of Professional Practices Services (FLDOE)
