Pre-K ESE Program Information

Pasco County Schools Pre-K ESE Programs

VPK Blended

The VPK blended classroom is composed of 18 students who are all 4-5 years old. The classroom has a certified teacher and one instructional assistant. Instruction is based on the FL Early Learning and Developmental Standards for four-year-olds taught using The Creative Curriculum.

Pre-K Varying Exceptionalities (VE)

The Varying Exceptionality classroom or VE Classroom is composed of students who have an IEP. The number of days students attend the program is based on their IEP needs and may be 2, 3 or 5 days a week based on the IEP. Placement in this classroom is determined by an IEP team. The classroom has a certified teacher and one instructional assistant. Instruction is based on the FL Early Learning and Developmental Standards for three- and four-year-olds taught using The Creative Curriculum.

Sensory Behavior Communication Pre-K (SBC)

The Pre-K Sensory Behavior Communication classroom or Pre-K SBC classroom is composed of students who have an IEP and moderate to severe needs in the areas of Sensory, Behavior and Communication. Students in this classroom require 5 days a week to meet the educational goals on their IEPs. Placement in this classroom is determined by an IEP team.   The classroom has a certified teacher and one instructional assistant. Instruction is based on the FL Early Learning and Developmental Standards for three- and four-year-olds taught using The Creative Curriculum.

Developmental Pre-K (DPK)

The Developmental Pre-k classroom or DPK classroom is composed of students who have an IEP and significant developmental delays. Students in this classroom require 5 days a week to meet the educational goals on their IEPs. Placement in this classroom is determined by an IEP team.   The classroom has a certified teacher and one instructional assistant. Instruction is based on the FL Early Learning and Developmental Standards for three- and four-year-olds taught using The Creative Curriculum.
