Gallup Student Poll Parent Resources

This year, students in grades 5 through 12 will be invited to participate in the Opportunity Education - Gallup Student Poll during the survey window of September 25 through October 27. This survey will be taken during school hours and will take approximately 10 minutes for your student to complete.  It is available in both English and Spanish.  This survey is anonymous and voluntary.  That means that Gallup cannot identify your student, and your student’s individual responses will not be shared with anyone.  Students do not have to participate if they do not want to, and they may skip any item they do not wish to answer.  There are no consequences or penalties if your student does not participate.

The OE-Gallup Student Poll covers topics such as students’ belief in their skills and abilities, their ability to make decisions regarding their learning and education, and their engagement with learning — both in and outside of school.

Once the survey window closes, Gallup will then aggregate and analyze the results.  Each participating school and district will receive a scorecard.
