Mittye P. Locke Elementary School

Due to the closing of the KG – 5th grade portion of Mittye P. Locke Elementary School beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, it becomes necessary to rezone the current boundary to other schools. These schools include Anclote Elementary, Gulf Trace Elementary, and Richey Elementary, and are shown on the map below:
District staff will hold a public workshop for the Mittye P. Locke Elementary School boundary on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Mittye P. Locke Elementary School Cafeteria. Proposed boundary maps will be displayed and staff will be available to answer questions. Also, a public hearing is scheduled during the December 13th School Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the district office complex in Land O’ Lakes.
The final School Board vote on the boundary proposals will be during the January 3rd School Board meeting, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the district office complex in Land O’ Lakes.
The boundaries will be effective beginning with the 2023-2024 school year.
