The Academy of Automotive Technology combines technical, academic and workplace skills in an integrated curriculum in accordance with all National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Inc. (NATEF) guidelines. This academy prepares students for further education and careers in automotive technology and consists of four required areas of study for program certification: suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, and engine performance. Each area provides the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the ASE end-of-course assessments and immediately enter a career in this area and/or attend postsecondary education and/or training. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible for Gold Seal/Bright Futures scholarships.

Florida Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) Certified Technician
The Florida Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) Certified Technician is designed to leverage the talents and abilities of individuals pursuing a career in the automotive service industry, enhance career opportunities through the acquisition of an industry recognized certification, provide third-party assessments as a means of independent quality control, and support economic recovery initiatives in Florida.
