The content includes but is not limited to double-entry accounting principles; methods of recording business transactions; preparation and analysis of various documents and financial statements; payroll records and tax forms; accounting control systems; account and transaction analysis; inventory methods; the aging process; depreciation; and the application of accounting principles to various entities.

This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in Advanced Manufacturing and Production positions.  The content includes but is not limited to providing students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of automation technology, its application in manufacturing, engineering and robotics, and its effect upon our lives and the choosing of an occupation.  The content and activities will also include the study of enterprise systems, safety, quality, and leadership skills.  This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Engineering & Technology Education career cluster. The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of Aerospace Technologies, with a focus on transferable skills as well as technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to in instruction animal and plant production and processing; agriculture marketing and communications; employability skills; mathematics; basic science; biological sciences; and human-relations skills.

• Wendell Krinn Technical High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Architecture & Construction career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry. The student should obtain EPA certification prior to leaving school in order to be employed in any job that requires work with refrigerants. The content includes but is not limited to designing, testing and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling (HVAC) systems.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Information Technology career cluster. The Cybersecurity program offers courses that prepare students for further education and careers such as cybersecurity analyst, security engineer, cybersecurity technician, data communication analyst, intrusion and detection analyst, security architect, or secure software developer in the Information Technology career cluster. The content includes the fundamentals of web-based programming, web databases, network security, installing, configuring, monitoring and securing networks in the LAN/WAN environment.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Engineering & Technology Education career cluster. The content and activities will include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills. This program offers a sequence of courses in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster, focused on the Automotive industry including; planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, as well as labor, community, health, safety and environmental issues.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Health Science career cluster focused on providing students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study and applications of biomedical sciences and the possibilities in the biomedical field. The content includes the study of human body systems, medicine, health, key biological concepts, communication, transport of substances, locomotion, metabolic processes, defense, protection, research processes, engineering principles and an introduction to bio-informatics.

The content includes but is not limited to developing skills in various construction trades, as well as providing a foundation in construction management.

The content of this program includes the fundamental knowledge and skills related to business functions in the Business Management & Administration career cluster. Reinforcement of academic skills occurs through classroom instruction and applied laboratory procedures. Instruction and learning activities are provided in a laboratory setting using hands-on experiences with the equipment, materials and technology appropriate to the course content and in accordance with current practices.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Arts, A/V Technology and Communication career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as artists and related workers, illustrators, and commercial designers. The content includes, but is not limited to, basic art skills, lettering skills, preparation of layouts and illustrations, preparation of camera-ready paste-up, and development of specialized skills.

• Wendell Krinn Technical High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Information Technology career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations in the information technology industry. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the information technology industry; technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, planning, management, finance, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues. The course content includes, but is not limited to, communication, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills; and safe, efficient work practices.

• Wendell Krinn Technical High School

A student completing the Cosmetology program is prepared for employment as licensed Hairdressers, Hairstylists, and Cosmetologists (SOC 39-5012). Instruction is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully obtaining a Cosmetology license. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in network support services positions.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster. The content provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster.

The content includes safe and efficient work practices, marketing a business in the hospitality industry, the relationship of food and science, organizational and planning skills related to catered events, sustainability of the industry, utilization of technology to enhance hospitality businesses, and many levels/types of food preparation.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Arts, A/V Technology & Communication career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for initial employment in the Digital Cinema Production field as equipment operators, camera assistants, sound equipment operators, editing equipment operators, set builders, grips and lighting equipment operators and Visual Effect Artists. The content should include, but is not be limited to, communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, and preparation to assume responsibility for overall production of digital video activities including: scripts, lighting, camera operation, electronic news gathering, field/studio production, and video editing.

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in the Digital Design industry as Information Technology Assistants, Production Assistants, Digital Assistant Designers, Graphic Designers, and Multimedia Designers. The content includes, but is not limited to, enhanced practical experiences in computer-generated art and text, graphic design, graphic production, digital design skills, preparation of digital layouts and illustrations, scanning, and the development of specialized multimedia presentations.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Arts, A/V Technology & Communication career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for work as multimedia artists and animators, with a focus on web production and motion graphics. The content includes, but is not limited to, practical experiences in webpage design and interactive presentation development, testing and production. Specialized skills in multimedia presentations such as video editing, audio features, and simple animation and authoring software are used to produce a variety of interactive multimedia presentations.

• J.W. Mitchel High School and Wesley Chapel High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Arts, A/V Technology & Communication career cluster.

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for initial employment as production assistants, audio/video equipment technician, video/TV camera operators, video editors, multimedia artists/animators and broadcast technicians.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Education & Training career cluster. The content includes, but is not limited to; competencies related to the following elements of the early childhood education industry: planning, management, finance, technical and production skills; underlying principles of technology; labor, community, health, safety, and environmental issues; and developmentally appropriate practices for children birth through age eight.

• River Ridge High School

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Marketing, Sales and Service career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Marketing, Sales and Service career cluster.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Health Science career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues. Clinical learning experiences are an integral part of this program. This is an instructional program that prepares individuals to provide initial care to sick or injured persons or as ambulance drivers and attendants SOC 53-3011. An Emergency Medical Responder may use this training for employment. The Emergency Medical Responder is the first to arrive at the scene of an injury but does not have the primary responsibility for treating and transporting the injured person(s). Emergency Medical Responders may include law enforcement, life guard, fire services or basic life support non-licensed personnel who act as part of an organized emergency medical services team.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster and prepares students for employment as fire inspectors and investigators (SOC 33-2021), fire science technicians, fire officers, fire safety inspectors, fire assistants, safety inspectors, building inspectors, fire insurance investigators/inspectors, and fire fighters. This program does not prepare students for certification as fire fighters. A student must successfully complete the basic recruit program in firefighting to become certified, pursuant to Chapter 633, Florida Statutes.

• Gulf High School

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in Game/Simulation Designer, Game Programmer, and Game Software Developer in the Information Technology career cluster. The content includes practical experiences in game/simulation conceptualization, design, storyboarding, development methodologies, essential programming techniques, and implementation issues. Specialized programming skills involving advanced mathematical calculations and physics are also integrated into the curriculum.

The JROTC curriculum includes course work on leadership, civics, geography and global awareness, health, and wellness, language arts, life skills, and U.S. history. The curriculum is based on the principles of performance-based, learner-centered education and promotes development of core abilities: capacity for life-long learning, communication, responsibility for actions and choices, good citizenship, respectful treatment of others, and critical thinking techniques.

• Cypress Creek High School, J.W. Mitchell High School and River Ridge High School

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as writers, editors, and multimedia journalists.  This program provides a medium whereby the student will be given the opportunity for practical hands-on experiences that incorporate academic skills into a real life situation.

The program familiarizes individuals with journalistic writing, script writing, graphic communications, desktop publishing, multimedia production, photojournalism, and investigative reporting.

• Gulf High School, J.W. Mitchell High School, Pasco High School, Sunlake High School, Wiregrass Ranch High School and Zephyrhills High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Health Science career cluster. This course is designed to prepare students for employment as nursing assistants SOC- 31-1014 (Nursing Assistants) in nursing homes, hospitals, or other health care facilities. The content includes, but is not limited to, interpersonal skills, medical terminology, legal and ethical responsibilities, safe and efficient work, gerontology, nutrition, pet-facilitated therapy, health and safety including Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – heart saver level, and employability skills.

This dual-enrollment program is designed to prepare students for employment as advanced cross trained nursing assistants (patient care technicians), Health Technologists and Technicians, Health Care Technicians, Patient Care Assistants, Nursing Aides and Orderlies, Home Health Aides, or Allied Health Assistants. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills, expanding the traditional role of the nursing assistant, for both acute and long term care settings.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Health Science career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to metric system, medical terminology, medicinal drugs, pharmaceutical compounding, USP 795 standards, sterile techniques, USP 797 and UPS 800 standards, maintenance of inventory, IV preparation, receiving and handling of hazardous materials, preparing purchase orders, receiving and checking supplies purchased, printing labels, typing prescription labels, delivering medications, pricing prescription drug orders and supplies, prepackaging unit dose packages, patient record systems, control records, data processing automation in pharmacy, computer application, employability skills, leadership and human relations skills, health and safety, including CPR.

• Pasco eSchool, River Ridge High School, Wiregrass Ranch High School and Zephyrhills High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Education & Training career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to competencies and skills needed to become a professional in the field of education. This includes an understanding of education in the United States, the ability to work effectively with all students, educational technology, classroom management, student assessment, communication skills, and other skills needed to support the learning activities of students. To be enrolled a student’s status in school and schedule must allow sufficient time for the student to be able to complete the program. The Teacher Assisting / Principles of Teaching program is designed to support teaching activities for students in classroom settings. It is not a program to provide clerical support to faculty or office/administrative personnel.

• Anclote High School

This program offers a sequence of courses that prepare the student for further education and careers such as an Information Technology Assistant, Custom Promotional Design Manager, First Line Supervisor, Small Business Manager, and General Operations Manager/Owner in the Business Management & Administration career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to enhanced practical experiences in management of digital layout and design, production of embroidered apparel, direct to garment print, sublimation, specialty items and signs as it relates to the running and management of a digital imprinted merchandise business. Development of specialized skills in production planning, design, layout, and evaluation of business promotional campaigns in the digital imprinted merchandise industry are critical components within the program.

• Pasco High School

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the sport, recreation and entertainment marketing and sales industry; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of sport, recreation and entertainment marketing occupations.

• Land O' Lakes High School

The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of technical design.  This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and operation of complex two and three-dimensional graphics, editing, and image analysis tools to better understand, illustrate, explain, and present technical concepts and principles.  Science, math, and visual design concepts are reinforced throughout each course.

The content includes, but is not limited to, a study of the purposes, instruments, processes, and technical skills associated with technologies used in the design, creation, and deployment of technical design renderings.  In addition to complex illustration tools, the content of this program includes the development of essential computer application skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, presentation).  The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills. 

• Hudson High School, Pasco High School and Zephyrhills High School

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the veterinary assisting industry: planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, as well as labor, community, health, safety and environmental issues. The program also provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed as veterinary assistants.

• Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation and Wendell Krinn Technical High School

This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in the welding industry. The content includes but is not limited to planning, management, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, as well as labor, community, health, safety and environmental issues.
