This program offers a sequence of courses in the Architecture & Construction career cluster. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in the heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation industry. The student should obtain EPA certification prior to leaving school in order to be employed in any job that requires work with refrigerants. The content includes but is not limited to designing, testing and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling (HVAC) systems.

Instruction is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully obtaining a Cosmetology license. The content includes but is not limited to planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues. Clinical learning experiences are an integral part of this program. This is an instructional program that prepares individuals to provide initial care to sick or injured persons or as ambulance drivers and attendants SOC 53-3011. An Emergency Medical Responder may use this training for employment. The Emergency Medical Responder is the first to arrive at the scene of an injury but does not have the primary responsibility for treating and transporting the injured person(s). Emergency Medical Responders may include law enforcement, life guard, fire services or basic life support non-licensed personnel who act as part of an organized emergency medical services team.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Law, Public Safety and Security career cluster and prepares students for employment as fire inspectors and investigators (SOC 33-2021), fire science technicians, fire officers, fire safety inspectors, fire assistants, safety inspectors, building inspectors, fire insurance investigators/inspectors, and fire fighters. This program does not prepare students for certification as fire fighters. A student must successfully complete the basic recruit program in firefighting to become certified, pursuant to Chapter 633, Florida Statutes.

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in Game/Simulation Designer, Game Programmer, and Game Software Developer in the Information Technology career cluster. The content includes practical experiences in game/simulation conceptualization, design, storyboarding, development methodologies, essential programming techniques, and implementation issues. Specialized programming skills involving advanced mathematical calculations and physics are also integrated into the curriculum.

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment as writers, editors, and multimedia journalists. This program provides a medium whereby the student will be given the opportunity for practical hands-on experiences that incorporate academic skills into a real life situation.
The program familiarizes individuals with journalistic writing, script writing, graphic communications, desktop publishing, multimedia production, photojournalism, and investigative reporting.

The content includes, but is not limited to, interpersonal skills, medical terminology, legal and ethical responsibilities, safe and efficient work, gerontology, nutrition, pet-facilitated therapy, health and safety including Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – heart saver level, and employability skills.

The content includes but is not limited to metric system, medical terminology, medicinal drugs, pharmaceutical compounding, USP 795 standards, sterile techniques, USP 797 and UPS 800 standards, maintenance of inventory, IV preparation, receiving and handling of hazardous materials, preparing purchase orders, receiving and checking supplies purchased, printing labels, typing prescription labels, delivering medications, pricing prescription drug orders and supplies, prepackaging unit dose packages, patient record systems, control records, data processing automation in pharmacy, computer application, employability skills, leadership and human relations skills, health and safety, including CPR.

This program offers a sequence of courses in the Education & Training career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to competencies and skills needed to become a professional in the field of education. This includes an understanding of education in the United States, the ability to work effectively with all students, educational technology, classroom management, student assessment, communication skills, and other skills needed to support the learning activities of students. To be enrolled a student’s status in school and schedule must allow sufficient time for the student to be able to complete the program. The Teacher Assisting / Principles of Teaching program is designed to support teaching activities for students in classroom settings. It is not a program to provide clerical support to faculty or office/administrative personnel.

This program offers a sequence of courses that prepare the student for further education and careers such as an Information Technology Assistant, Custom Promotional Design Manager, First Line Supervisor, Small Business Manager, and General Operations Manager/Owner in the Business Management & Administration career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to enhanced practical experiences in management of digital layout and design, production of embroidered apparel, direct to garment print, sublimation, specialty items and signs as it relates to the running and management of a digital imprinted merchandise business. Development of specialized skills in production planning, design, layout, and evaluation of business promotional campaigns in the digital imprinted merchandise industry are critical components within the program.

The purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of technical design. This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and operation of complex two and three-dimensional graphics, editing, and image analysis tools to better understand, illustrate, explain, and present technical concepts and principles. Science, math, and visual design concepts are reinforced throughout each course.
The content includes, but is not limited to, a study of the purposes, instruments, processes, and technical skills associated with technologies used in the design, creation, and deployment of technical design renderings. In addition to complex illustration tools, the content of this program includes the development of essential computer application skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, presentation). The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills.
