Pasco County Schools Celebrates Excellence at the STAR Awards Dinner

The stage was set for a night of celebration and recognition as Pasco County Schools, in partnership with the Pasco Education Foundation, proudly presented the S.T.A.R. Awards (Staff That Are Remarkable) Dinner on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

As the clock struck 6:00 PM, educators, administrators, and distinguished guests came together to honor the dedication and excellence that characterize the educators and staff within Pasco County's vibrant educational landscape.

This annual extravaganza shone a spotlight on outstanding achievements across various categories, including Teachers of the Year, Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year, School-Related Personnel (S.R.P.) of the Year, District Administrator of the Year, and Non-Instructional Non-Bargaining (N.N.B.) Employee of the Year.

And the award goes to...

The highlight of the evening was the revelation of the Teacher of the Year, an honor bestowed upon LeAnne John, a beacon of inspiration from Zephyrhills High School. With two decades of teaching under her belt, LeAnne has fostered a nurturing environment where young minds are guided through Agricultural Science and Career & Technical Education (C.T.E.). Her leadership at the Agriculture Career Academy has been a testament to her commitment, enabling students to flourish with industry certifications and hands-on experience.
