Referendum Supplement Payment Calculations

Instructional Employees

  • Referendum payments will be made to teachers in the form of a bi-weekly salary supplement.
  • Annual supplement amounts will be based on an instructional employee’s base employment contract and range from $2,000 to $7,245 (based on a 196-day contract and a 7.5-hour workday). Instructional employees with longer or shorter contracted workdays or work years will have their supplements adjusted accordingly.
  • To address salary compression within the Instructional bargaining unit, the amount of a teacher’s supplement will increase based on the amount of full-time, certified teaching experience the teacher has accrued.
  • Supplement amounts are subject to negotiations each year and are not guaranteed beyond the 4-year referendum period. The supplement amount may vary year-to-year based on available funding. However, the referendum is eligible for renewal by the voters for additional 4-year periods after the current referendum period ends in 2026.

SRP and NNB Employees

  • Referendum payments will be made to SRP and NNB employees in the form of a bi-weekly supplement.
  • Supplement amounts will be based on an SRP or NNB employee’s base contract (number of contract workdays times the number of contracted work hours per day times the hourly supplement amount) and rates of pay range from $0.80 per hour to $3.50 per hour, with the average annual supplement amount being approximately $2,100 per year.
  • To address salary compression within the SRP and NNB bargaining units, the amount of an SRP or NNB employee’s supplement will be based on the number of creditable years of service the SRP or NNB employee has with the District.
  • Supplement amounts for SRP are subject to negotiations each year. NNB supplement amounts will be established by the District each year. SRP and NNB supplement amounts are not guaranteed beyond the 4-year referendum period. The supplement amount may vary year-to-year based on available funding. However, the referendum is eligible for renewal by the voters for additional 4-year periods after the current referendum period ends in 2026.
