COVID-19 Vaccines for Employees 65 Years and Older

This post was created on 01/27/2021.

Our school district has been working closely with the Pasco County Department of Health and the Pasco Department of Emergency Management to provide COVID-19 vaccine to school district employees who are 65 years or older. The first vaccine dose is scheduled for Sunday, February 7. The recommended second dose is scheduled for Sunday, March 7. Pasco school employees who are eligible for the vaccine due to their age received an email today offering them the opportunity to make an appointment to receive the vaccine.

Due to limited supply of vaccine, the state has made it a priority to vaccinate Floridians age 65 and older. We are grateful to the Pasco Department of Health for working with the school district to make arrangements to offer the vaccine to school employees age 65 and older. Additionally, they are making the vaccine available to the school district’s medical first responders.

As more vaccine becomes available, we will continue to work with the Department of Health in an effort to offer the vaccine to additional employees, with the ultimate goal of making the vaccine available to all school district employees who wish to be vaccinated. At this time, no plans have been finalized. We will continue to provide updates.

If you are 65 years of age or older and did not receive an email today inviting you to set an appointment to be vaccinated, please let us know by sending an email to covidresults@pasco.k12.fl.us
