Chester Taylor Elementary Hosts Physical Education Family Night

This post was created on 11/20/2019.

Who: Chester Taylor Elementary students, families, and PE staff

What: Physical Education Family Night

When: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 21

Where: Chester Taylor Elementary, 3638 Morris Bridge Road, Zephyrhills

Why: Physically active kids are more likely to be motivated, focused, and successful in school. Mastering physical skills builds confidence at every age. When kids enjoy an activity, they want to do more of it. Practicing a skill, whether it's swimming or riding a tricycle, helps improve their abilities and helps them feel accomplished, especially when the effort is noticed and praised. These good feelings often make kids want to continue the activity and even try new activities.

How: Parents will learn about healthy eating choices and fun physical activities to do at home with children. Students will participate in games like Pin Knock Over, Spike Ball, Jump Rope, and more. Raffle tickets will be provided for a drawing at the end of the evening for awesome prizes! Special appearances include Raymond, the Tampa Bay Rays mascot, and players from the USF Bulls.
