Career and Technical Education (CTE) is offered through Pasco Pathways that prepare students to be college and career-ready by providing core academic skills, real-world and hands-on experiences, industry-recognized certifications, and technical skills necesssary to their future. Adult Education (AE)

Pasco County Schools' Adult Education Programs are committed to empowering adult learners with the skills, knowledge and support needed to achieve their personal, academic and career goals. Our instructor-led  programs offer flexible day and evening classes to meet the needs of working adults through the following options:

  • General Education Development (GED)®: The GED® program offers learners a flexible, supportive pathway to earn a Florida High School Diploma. Designed for individuals who are no longer enrolled in traditional K12 schools, this program focuses on building academic skills in the four GED® areas of Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies and Science.
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE): The ABE Program supports adult learners in developing foundational skills necessary for the workplace and future GED® enrollment. ABE instruction focuses on building essential competencies in reading, writing, mathematics and language skills for those functioning below the high school level.
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): The ESOL Program supports learners in developing the language skills necessary to communicate confidently in their daily lives, succeed in the workplace and pursue further education.
  • Integrated Education and Training (IET): The Integrated Education and Training Program provides learners with a coordinated approach to developing academic, workforce and technical skills simultaneously. Designed to accelerate career readiness, the program blends adult education instruction with hands-on workforce training.

COST:

  • Class tuition is $30 per semester plus a 4% processing fee.
  • Initial placement testing is $12 plus a 4% processing fee.
  • All costs are non-refundable.
