Thank You for Your Interest in Joining Pasco County Schools Athletics! 

A non-traditional student is defined as any student participating in an academic program outside of full-time enrollment in Pasco County Schools. This includes students enrolled in Home Education, Personalized Education Program (PEP), Charter schools, Private schools, Florida Virtual School (FLVS), Alternative programs, as well as students that are enrolled in another Traditional Public Schools outside of Pasco County Schools.

Before you can join a sport in Pasco County you must use the MyStudent System to Co-Enroll for Athletics. There will be two different processes based on your current status with Pasco County Schools. Once you have completed all Non-Traditional Student requirements, you will then navigate to the middle or high school athletics page for more specific information about sports programs.  

Option 1: You have been enrolled as a student in Pasco County Schools in the past or you are currently a Home School Student.  

You will navigate to the Pasco County Schools enrollment website and look for the section “Returning to Pasco” and complete the application. Please note the application will say “Returning to Pasco”. This is the correct form that you need to complete. When you complete the form, make sure you select “Athletics” as your option on the form and put the sport you are interested in participating in Pasco. This is a new process this year but will be required annually moving forward per the FHSAA.  

Option 2: You are completely new to Pasco County and have never had any enrollment with us in the past. 

You will navigate to the Pasco County Schools enrollment website and look for the section “New to Pasco” and complete the application. When you complete the form, make sure you select “Athletics” as your option on the form and put the sport you are interested in participating in Pasco.   

 

Required Athletic Clearance Courses and Paperwork

All Non-Traditional Students will be required to complete all required Athletic Clearance coursework and paperwork prior to being permitted to participate in Athletics in Pasco County Schools. Athletes will be required to complete all required Athletic Clearance coursework and paperwork prior to being permitted to participate in Athletics in Pasco County Schools. We are governed by the School Board of Pasco County Policies as well as the policies of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Required Coursework for All Athletes  

Athletes must navigate to https://www.nfhslearn.com/ to complete the required courses in Sportsmanship, Concussion, Heat Illness, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This courses must be completed annually per the FHSAA guidelines and expire at the end of each school year.  

Required FHSAA Paperwork for Non-Traditional Athletes 

  1. EL1- form - required form starting July 1, 2026 for all incoming 9th graders and new student athletes in grades 10-12. 

  1. EL1/2s - is for use when a follow-up is required for either the EL1 or the EL2

  1. ME1 - For use by Medical doctors to exempt a student athlete from the ECG requirement.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Florida law requires certain student-athletes to complete an electrocardiogram (ECG) screening before participating in FHSAA- sanctioned sports.

FAQ 

  1. What do I do if I did not receive my athletes ECG results?  

Results from Who We Play For, may take up to 18 days to arrive in your email and typically these results will go directly to your spam folder. If you have checked all folders and the results are still missing, please contact info@whoweplayfor.org or call 1-888-906-9973 to have the results sent to you again.  

  1. What if I need support with uploading? Who do I contact?  

If you need support uploading forms, please contact the school’s athletic director. Their contact details are located on the middle and high school tabs on this website.  

 

Instructions for Completion of ECG required documentation in Athletic Clearance (Home Campus) 

EL1 Form Completion and Upload to Athletic Clearance Directions 

If you completed an ECG screening with Who We Play For, a hospital in the state of Florida, or another healthcare organization and electronically signed by a licensed physician.  

  • Complete only the top portion of the EL1 form, you do not need to complete the bottom portion of the form. 

  • Upload the following to Athletic Clearance:  

  • The completed top portion of the EL1 form 

  • Upload the Proof of a “cleared” result from the screening provider 

  • These two uploads will fully meet Athletic Clearance requirements for the 2026–2027 school year 

If you completed an ECG screening with a medical provider: 

  • Complete the bottom portion of the EL1 form. 

  • The form must be signed by the medical provider. 

  • Upload the fully completed EL1 form to Athletic Clearance. 

 

EL1/2S Form Completion & Upload Instructions for Athletic Clearance 

  • If your ECG screening (completed by either a screening company or a medical provider) did NOT result in a “cleared” status, you are required to: 

  • Schedule and attend an evaluation with a pediatric cardiologist before participating in any sports in Florida. 

  • After seeing the pediatric cardiologist: 

  • If you receive a “cleared” result, after evaluation from the pediatric cardiologist, you will then complete the EL1/2S form.  

  • Upload the completed EL1/2S form to Athletic Clearance.

Athletic fees for Private School students for the 2026–2027 school year are currently under review by the Pasco County School Board. Please be advised that fees may increase to up to $400 per sport in accordance with recently passed Senate Bill 538.

This potential fee increase will not apply to Home Education or Charter School students.

 

No Tryout Fee: Students have three (3) days to pay fees after they make the team.  No one will participate in game competition until fees have been paid. Athletic Fees must be paid prior to competing in interscholastic competition. Student-athletes and families who are unable to pay the athletic fees may submit a hardship request to the Athletic Director and Administration. Please note the participation fee does not guarantee playing time, only the opportunity to be on the team if selected.

All coursework completion certificates and paperwork will be uploaded into Home Campus (Athletic Clearance) by the student-athletes parent or guardian. Please carefully review all documents and upload sections to ensure that each required item is submitted correctly in Athletic Clearance. Gameday Policies & Procedures

Game Entry

  1. Tickets sales are on Go Fan (online) or some schools accept cash. 
  2. No Re-Entry to games once a patron leaves the game. 
  3. FREE ENTRY ONLY: Pasco County School District Employees (with ID Badge present), Senior Citizens 65 and older, kids UNDER the age of 5. Veterans, employee spouses, and others do not get in free. Free entry is for regular season games only.  

Bag Procedure

All bags are subject to search upon entry. Bags and items not permitted on Pasco County Schools property must be returned to the patron’s vehicle.

  1. ONLY clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear Ziploc bags are permitted inside an event venue.
  2. Student athletes are permitted to bring bags. These bags are subject to search.
  3. Small clutch or wallet style bags no larger than 4 inches by 6 inches are permitted for entry but will be subject to search. All other styles of bags such as backpacks, fanny packs, purses and duffle bags are not permitted.
  4. An exception will be made for medically necessary items, diaper bags, and properly credentialed school and professional photographers’ camera bags. These bags will be subject to search prior to entry, unless the item meets the clear bag guidelines.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to the following:  (TO BE POSTED)

  1. Firearms
  2. Weapons of any kind
  3. Knives
  4. Any item that could be used as a missile
  5. Fireworks
  6. Glass
  7. Recreational Balls
  8. Horns/Lasers
  9. Illegal Drugs
  10. Alcoholic beverages of any kind
  11. Pets (exceptions will be made for service animals)
  12. Coolers
  13. Sticks/Poles/Camera “Selfie” Sticks/Extenders or Gimbals
  14. Unmanned Aircraft Systems & Radio Controlled Model Aircraft/Drones (strictly prohibited on stadium property including parking lots, stadium exterior and inside the stadium)
  15. No outside food.

 

Allowed Items Include the following:

  1. Umbrellas
  2. Ponchos if worn, carried over the arm, or in original sealed clear package
  3. Blankets and/or towels if unrolled or unfolded
  4. Small, handheld radios or TVs with earphones
  5. Binoculars, worn around the neck or carried (not in a case)
  6. Cameras with carry strap (not carried in a case)
  7. Sunscreen lotion
  8. Banners and/or flags without sticks or poles
  9. Laptops/tablets (not in a case)
  10. Seat cushions
  11. Sealed non-alcoholic drinks by ticketed adults only.

Patron Code of Conduct

Students are expected to abide by the Pasco County Schools Student Code of Conduct. Pasco County Schools is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all fans, both in the stadium and in the parking lots. We want all fans attending our events to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion. When attending a game, you are required to refrain from the following behaviors:

  1. Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature
  2. Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or drug impairment that results in irresponsible behavior
  3. Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures
  4. Interference with the progress of the game (including throwing objects onto the field)
  5. Failing to follow instructions of school officials
  6. Verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests and/or persons occupying their seats. Staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event free from the above behavior. Event patrons and guests who violate these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund and loss of ticket privileges for future games.

Ticket Pricing and Athletic Fees for Secondary Schools

Pasco County Schools uses the Go Fan ticketing system for all games. Please ensure that tickets for sporting events are purchased ahead of time using Go Fan.

Children under the age of 4 and adults over the age of 65 are permitted into all Pasco County Schools sporting events for free.

All Pasco County School Board Employees are Admitted Free with their Pasco County Schools Identification Badge (Current Employees Only).

All Pasco County Schools Form the Sunshine Athletic Conference (SAC)  

The Sunshine Athletic Conference coaches will select 1st and 2nd team All-Conference athletes  after each sports season as well as a Coach and Athlete of the year each season at the high school level. Student-Athletes who achieve a 3.2GPA will receive an All-Academic Sports Recognition Award Annually.
