STUDENT SUPPORT PROGRAMS & SERVICES
FAMILIES EXPRESSED APPRECIATION FOR:
  • Welcoming schools where students feel a strong sense of belonging.
  • Visible leadership, schoolwide events, and consistent communication that keeps families connected, especially those new to the school.
  • ESE teams that provide individualized support with clear follow-through, building trust, while counselors and staff offer proactive guidance.
  • Clean, safe facilities, reliable health services, and consistent expectations that support positive behavior and student focus.
PRIORITY TOPICS FOR FAMILIES:
  • Families emphasized the need for consistent and transparent discipline, with clear expectations, consequences, and follow-through.
  • Stronger, more streamlined communication is a priority, including clearer calendars, fewer platforms, and timely updates.
  • Families also seek greater clarity and consistency in ESE, IEP, and 504 services, particularly in progress monitoring and communication of student growth.
  • Concerns about bullying underscore the need for clear reporting processes, reliable follow-through, and access to mental health support.
  • Increased adult supervision in bathrooms, hallways, lunch areas, and buses remains essential for ensuring student safety.
CURRENT INITIATIVES:
  • Schools are strengthening weekly communication and two-way engagement to improve clarity and connections with families.
  • Supervision plans are being refined to increase adult presence in high-traffic areas based on patterns in time and location.
  • Progress monitoring is becoming more consistent, with clearer and more frequent updates for families, particularly for students receiving ESE, IEP, and 504 services.
  • Access to counselors is being clarified through defined office hours, appointment systems, and response expectations.
  • Health and safety efforts continue to advance through improved clinic communication, consistent facility oversight, and clearer guidance on accommodations and staff supports.
FUTURE PLANS:
  • Schools will implement consistent behavior and discipline frameworks to ensure clear, fair expectations across campuses.
  • Communication platforms for assignments, calendars, and updates will be streamlined to improve access and reduce confusion.
  • Transparency around ESE evaluations and services will improve through defined timelines, communication, and progress monitoring.
  • Mental health supports will expand through increased check-ins and clearer pathways to counseling.
  • Bullying reporting will be strengthened with clear response timelines and follow-up, alongside proactive outreach to ensure access to opportunities.
NEW TOOL: EduBridge
  • EduBridge is being introduced as a structured communication and support tool through Onflo (Let’s Talk), providing families with a clear and accessible way to share concerns related to academics, behavior, attendance, and student supports.
  • Accessible from each school’s website landing page, EduBridge allows families to submit concerns at any time. Submissions are routed to the school’s Student Support Specialist (SSS) to ensure concerns are reviewed, documented, and addressed using established school-based processes.
  • As part of ongoing efforts to improve communication and clarity, EduBridge will be leveraged to strengthen two-way communication, improve documentation, and ensure timely follow-up to family concerns across schools.
CLARITY:

Families are reminded that certain processes, including evaluations and discipline procedures, are governed by state and federal requirements that may affect timelines and flexibility. Some services and supports cannot be adjusted immediately due to staffing, legal, or funding constraints. Communication gaps may also occur when multiple platforms are used; efforts are underway to streamline systems and improve clarity and consistency for families.

TRANSPARENCY:

Staffing and funding levels affect the pace of implementation and scope of services. Safety and supervision improvements may also require coordination with facilities teams and local agencies, which can impact timelines. Policies such as discipline and compliance must align with district, state, and federal requirements and cannot be changed independently. When immediate changes are not possible, schools will prioritize interim solutions and provide clear, proactive communication to families.

COMMITMENT:

We remain committed to listening to families, strengthening communication, and continuously improving student support. Family feedback directly guides our decisions, and we will continue refining our practices to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and included in our school community. We value our partnership with families and recognize it as essential to student success.
