Angeline Academy’s Kya Wins Gold and Silver at World Karate Championships
Kya, a student at Angeline Academy of Innovation High School, earned a silver medal in team fighting and a gold medal in Kata at the 13th WUKF World Karate Championships in Malmö, Sweden. Competing against 18 international teams, her USA team defeated top contenders from England, Romania, and Slovakia to reach the finals. Her gold in Kata marks her first world championship title, officially making her the best in her division under one of the world’s toughest karate federations.
Kya represented her school, county, dojo, and country with pride and excellence. We are incredibly proud of her achievements!
