Jessica Schultz

J. W. Mitchell High School Principal
Ms. Jessica Schultz is the principal at J.W. Mitchell High School in Trinity, FL, a post she has held since the spring of 2016. Her administrative career began in Pasco in April of 2006, when she was appointed as an assistant principal at J.W. Mitchell. Prior to assuming the principalship, Ms. Schultz served as an assistant principal at JWMHS, English teacher at Wharton High School, and an Administrative Resource Teacher at Benito Middle School. As a teacher she earned the Hillsborough County Teacher of the Year Award in 2005 for Wharton High School.
During her time as principal, J.W. Mitchell has consistently earned an A rating from the State of Florida and has earned multiple state level recognitions and championships in the areas of Advanced Placement, Athletics, Fine Arts, and NJROTC. She believes in preparing students for life after school with focused efforts on school culture and postsecondary readiness. Ms. Schultz has been recognized by the MADD organization as a leader in character education and in June of 2019 she was recognized by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office as Administrator of the Year.
Ms. Schultz is a proud graduate of Gaither High School, Brigham Young University, and the University of South Florida. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degrees in English and Educational Leadership. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her mother, caring for her animals, running, and biking.
