Brandon Bartow, Longleaf Elementary Plant Manager, strives to ensure the school is well maintained, safe, and has a welcoming environment so students and staff can focus on learning and teaching. Prior to becoming Plant Manager, Brandon graduated at JW Mitchell High School and then received his AA degree from Pasco Hernando State College. Brandon started at Longleaf in 2017 as a custodian working his way up to Assistant Plant Manager then Plant Manager, which he has held since 2023.

Brandon loves how he stayed connected to Longleaf. He attended 5th grade the first year it opened. Brandon earned his eagle scout rank by completing his service project at Longleaf, a butterfly and vegetable garden.  Through scouting, Brandon has had the opportunity to help his community by volunteering with Scouting for Food, Toy for Tots, and Coastal Cleanup. Brandon has learned firsthand how important volunteering is. In high school, he earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award and was voted volunteer of the month twice at Longleaf and was nominated district peer volunteer.

While working at Longleaf, Brandon has formed a strong bond with the staff, students, and the community.  Besides work, Brandon loves spending time with the family, camping and fishing.
