Wesley Chapel High School

Scholarship:

As a student, my goal has always been to strive for the highest level of success, and my motivation has been driven by my desire to reach my full potential. My pursuit for a challenge has led me to take rigorous advanced placement (AP) courses, dual enrollment courses, and work towards receiving my AP Capstone Diploma. Maintaining a driven mindset has also allowed me to hold a 4.36 grade point average all throughout high school and led to me passing every AP exam thus far. Because I emphasize the importance of being an honest and hardworking student dedicated to furthering my education, I have been able to find success all throughout high school.

Leadership:

While at Wesley Chapel High School, I have proudly served as the Wesley Chapel FFA president where I run a chapter of more than 50 members. Working with both my advisor and officer team, we organize events, competitions, meetings, and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, I served as the Student Government Association Class of 2020 Secretary my freshman and junior years, and currently hold the leadership positions of executive president. As executive president, I have run an organization of class sponsors and officers, assisting in the planning of dances, spirit weeks, events, and organizational service activities. Each leadership position I have been blessed with has granted me the ability to inspire others through compassion and knowledge.

Service:

Because it is my goal to make a positive difference in my community, I utilize opportunities to serve as a way of accomplishing this mission. In the summer of 2020, I volunteered at the Glazer Children's Museum where I served as a Teen Play Leader. Here, I assisted a variety of guests by providing information about exhibits, monitored exhibit activities, prepared material for small groups, and facilitated learning with all guests. In addition to my service at the museum, I also serve at my local library (New River Library) and church (New Walk Church). Whether my service is performed at the museum, library, or church, the fact that I can make a positive difference in someone else’s life is both encouraging and humbling.

Citizenship:

As I strive to positively impact as many lives as possible, I do my best to humble myself and remember that there is great wisdom in learning from others. As chairman for the Student Advisory Council, I am directly involved in facilitating discussions that lead to voting on school
based activities. Furthermore, I serve in the Wesley Chapel National Honor Society, which is directly linked to community events in the area. As mentioned before, I am actively involved in the agriculture industry, which has allowed me to participate in this year’s 2021 Florida Youth
Institute, along with hold a delegate spot at the 2021 Global Youth Institute. In addition, I have served for three years as a participant of the Agriculture Education Institute hosted by the University of Florida. Both institutions generate another opportunity for knowledge and growth, as I look to use these opportunities to educate others on the importance of agriculture, further solidifying my mission to leave this world better than I found it.
