Joselyn Pena

Scholarship:

Joselyn is a part of our Cambridge Programme and has earned their AICE award with distinction. In turn, they will have earned the FAS Bright Futures Scholarship when they graduate in June of 2022. They have a weighted 4.42 GPA and are a member of the National Honor Society and National Science Honor Society.

Leadership:

Joselyn is the Class of 2022 Vice President.

Service:

Joselyn has accrued 167 community service hours since high school began. They have served at multiple school events such as sporting events, dances, is a member of Interact club, and has volunteered at several blood drives on campus. They have also volunteered in our community at Metropolitan Ministries.

Citizenship:

Joselyn has participated in many projects that have a clear and positive effect on the rest of our student body, such as making Homecoming Week a standout event for their grade level and their community. They continued to earn hours of service, even amidst the pandemic, understanding the importance of giving back in the greatest moments of need. Most notably, Joselyn has spoken about wanting to better utilize land in the community to create public access, food-producing gardens that can be a space for volunteers of all ages, while simultaneously providing free resources to those with the greatest need.
