Summer 2022 Summer FREE Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
Pasco County Schools offers a free Summer VPK program at Richey and Woodland Elementary schools.
Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, and have not already used their VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE).
The summer program runs from June 1 – July 20. Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
No school on June 17, 24 and July 1, 4, and 15.
Step 1 - Apply for the VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
To enroll, you must obtain your Certificate of Eligibility (Voucher) or confirmation number from the Pasco Hernando Early Learning Coalition website , or contact by phone at (727) 233-8291.
Step 2 - Apply for your Pasco County Schools Summer VPK
- Once you have obtained your voucher, you can complete the Summer VPK Portal
- You will be asked to choose Richey or Woodland Elementary School
- You will be asked to answer health and disability questions for your child
- You will also be asked about the status of all Kindergarten pre-registration requirements (except proof of address)
- Proof of address is not required for the Summer VPK program.
- Proof of address will be required to register your child to attend Kindergarten in Pasco County.
Kindergarten registration requirements:
- Child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2022.
- Child’s birth certificate or other proof of birth date
- Health examination – HRS Form 3040
- HRS Certificate of Immunization

You will be notified by the Pasco County Schools Summer VPK office with more information one week before the first day of service (June 1).
