Pasco County Schools is thrilled to announce that it has received a generous grant of $57,500 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation.

This significant contribution will bolster our ongoing Magnet Schools Recruitment, Retention, and Community Engagement efforts, showcasing the diverse and innovative programs available to our students.

Since identifying a critical equity gap in 2012, Pasco County Schools has steadfastly committed to providing equitable educational opportunities. Our investment in magnet schools and programs has been a cornerstone of this endeavor. Today, we proudly host twenty-nine magnet schools and programs, one more school opening next school year, and over 14,000 students reaping the benefits of an enriched educational experience.

Our magnet schools offer a wide array of programs, including Cambridge, International Baccalaureate (IB), STEM/STEAM, Fire Science, Aerospace Engineering, and Fine Arts. These programs are not just about academic excellence but about igniting passion in our students and connecting their learning to real-world applications. Every one of our 80,000 students has the opportunity to pursue their interests and envision a future that extends beyond the classroom.

Many of our magnet programs are situated in communities that face economic challenges. While we have successfully funded these schools, there is an ongoing need to enhance the student experience. The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation grant is a game-changer in this respect. It will support initiatives impacting our students, including student recruitment, retention, field trips, and celebratory events.

We are immensely grateful to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation for its support and shared vision in nurturing the potential of every student.

This grant is not just a financial contribution; it's an investment in the future of our community and the lives of the young minds we are shaping.
