Pasco County Schools offers a free summer VPK program at Richey and Woodland Elementary schools.

Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023, and have not already used their VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE).

The summer program runs from June 5 – July 27. Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

No school on June 9, 16, 23, 30 and July 4, 7, 14, and 21.

Step 1 - Apply for the VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

To enroll, you must obtain your Certificate of Eligibility (Voucher) from the Pasco Hernando Early Learning Coalition website/Family Portal, or contact by phone at (727) 233-8291.

Step 2 - Apply for your Pasco County Schools Summer VPK

  • Once you have obtained your voucher, you can complete the Summer VPK Portal
  • You will be asked to choose Richey or Woodland Elementary School
  • You will be asked to answer health and disability questions for your child.
  • You will also be asked about the status of all Kindergarten pre-registration requirements (except proof of address)
    • Proof of address is not required for the summer VPK program.
    • Proof of address will be required to register your child to attend Kindergarten in Pasco County.

Kindergarten registration requirements:

  • Child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2023.
  • Child’s birth certificate or other approved proof of birth
  • Health examination – HRS Form 3040
  • HRS Certificate of Immunization
  • Online registration forms for Kindergarten Registration

You will be notified by the Pasco County Schools Summer VPK office with more information one week before the first day of service (June 5).
