Responsible for performing advanced, specialized, complex duties related to the evaluation and certification of personnel by providing relevant, up-to-date information and support to all stakeholders. This includes collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff to support effective implementation of the teacher evaluation system and the Professional Development Certification Program (PDCP).


The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of those in this position.
  1. Assist with planning and organizing orientations, informational meetings, and trainings for the Professional Development Certification Program and teacher evaluations; including developing presentation materials, coordinating meeting schedules, and facilitating training of personnel.
  2. Coordinate administration and implementation of the PDCP program, including determination of eligibility and certification path, enrollment of participants through the online registration system, and ongoing maintenance of records.
  3. Assign support personnel to assist PDCP participants while monitoring implementation of support services.
  4. Communicate program expectations and provide support to PDCP participants to ensure successful completion of the program.
  5. Collaborate with building administrators to support PDCP participants in program completion.
  6. Evaluate PDCP components on an ongoing basis to recommend program enhancements and procedural improvements.
  7. Develop and prepare a variety of reports or queries for ongoing customer needs; and prepare periodic reports for the Department of Labor and other federal and state agencies.
  8. Seek knowledge on state regulations and mandates as related to teacher evaluation system in order to provide recommendations for district implementation.
  9. Collaborate with various stakeholders and departments to ensure proper implementation of the teacher evaluation system.
  10. Counsel all stakeholders regarding goals and expectations of the teacher evaluation system, including tool design and proper use.
  11. Maintain knowledge of online observation system to provide guidance to all levels of users.
  12. Collect and distribute data related to evaluations and track the return of signed documents.
  13. Assist with refining the evaluation system, including tool and processes, for non-instructional personnel.
  14. Assist with development of policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
  15. Participate in Florida Department of Education training and update sessions.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with personal computers and programs, such as word processing programs, spreadsheets, and databases


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Three or more years of classroom teaching experience
  • OR
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position


  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate preferred


  • Master's degree
  • Experience working with framework for teacher evaluations
  • Experience creating and delivering teacher training




Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated as Light Work.

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established by the District.
