To serve as the District’s authority in the area of civil engineering and provide coordination with governmental permitting agencies for all civil engineering matters. This individual will coordinate with the contracted design professionals in the development and review of civil design plans, specifications, and construction documents. Parking lot, bus loop, and pavement replacement project coordination responsibilities fall under this position’s responsibility, as well as submittal review for projects involving civil engineering systems. Additionally, this position will assist the District’s Maintenance department with parking and drainage issues.

Affiliated District Clerical Staff, Contracted Services Architects, Contracted Services Engineers, Contracted Services Contractors, and Contracted Services Construction Managers
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Also, this position requires the individual to be able to climb ladders to access roof areas and to navigate rough terrain on construction sites to conduct code compliance inspections.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk and hear; stand and walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Indoors and Outdoors: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established by the District.
Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the School Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
