District, State, and Federal Programs
Welcome

The District, State, and Federal Programs Office plays a vital role in supporting schools and departments across the district in securing and managing external funding opportunities. Our mission is to ensure that all grant applications align with district goals, comply with regulatory requirements, and are implemented effectively to benefit students and staff.

We support the pursuit and management of a wide range of grant types, including:

  • Foundation Grants: Typically offered by private or corporate foundations, these grants support innovative programs, classroom initiatives, and community partnerships.
  • Business and Corporate Grants: Local and national businesses often offer grants to support education, workforce readiness, technology integration, and community partnerships. These grants help foster collaboration between schools and the business community, enhancing real-world learning opportunities for students.
  • State Grants: Funded by the Florida Department of Education and other state agencies, these grants often target specific educational priorities such as literacy, STEM, mental health, and career readiness.
  • Federal Grants: These include competitive and formula-based funding from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Education, supporting large-scale initiatives like Title I, IDEA, and school safety programs.

Each grant type has unique requirements, timelines, and reporting obligations. The Grants Department provides guidance throughout the entire process—from identifying opportunities and writing proposals to ensuring compliance and evaluating outcomes.
