Digital Innovation at Gulf Highlands Elementary fosters ingenuity, innovation, and growth as students pursue excellence and inspire change. Students will earn “Digital Tool” certifications and engage in computer science, physical computing, and fabrication equipping them with skills needed for an ever-changing world. GHES will immerse students in authentic problem-solving, creating learning that lasts, and will prepare students for success in college, career, and life.
All students who live in the attendance boundary for GHES will be part of the Digital Innovation program. Students from outside of the school zone may apply through the Pasco Pathways School Choice Application process. All out of zone students who apply will be be sent for the lottery, even if this number exceeds the total number of available seats. Preferences established in the Controlled Open Enrollment Plan will be followed when the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of seats open. Students residing in the district will be given preference, followed by students outside the district. Applicants are randomized and seats are filled by the number of open opportunities designated during the seat setting process. Students not placed during the lottery process will be placed on a randomized waitlist. Students from out of zone who are accepted will not receive transportation.
