Pasco Schools Farm Fresh Pop-Up Features Fresh Corn

This post was created on 05/05/2020.

Land O’ Lakes, FL – (May 5, 2020) – The Pasco Schools will launch a new program on Wednesday, May 6, to help feed the needy in Pasco. It’s called a Farm Fresh Pop-Up, and it is designed to get fresh fruit and vegetables out to the community as soon as it becomes available.

Pasco Schools received a donation of fresh corn today and has planned three Farm Fresh Pop-Up sites around the county to distribute the corn on Wednesday morning. The distribution will start at 10 a.m. and end when the corn runs out.

  • Those drive-thru sites are:
  • Chasco Elementary School at 7906 Ridge Road in Port Richey
  • Pineview Middle School at 5334 Parkway Boulevard in Land O’Lakes
  • Pasco High School at 36850 State Road 52 in Dade City

Many thanks to Feeding Florida and Scotlynn Sweet-Pac Growers for the generous donation and timely delivery. In the coming weeks, whenever the school district receives a large donation of fresh fruit or vegetables, we will get it out into the community as soon as possible. We will pick a location and a time and announce our latest Farm Fresh Pop-Up.
