The Integrated Educational Training (IET) - Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program begins in the Fall of 2022. Students enrolled in GED Preparation or Adult High School programs are eligible to participate in IET – HVAC/R which will allow students to simultaneously prepare for employment in the HVAC/R industry while completing their GED or high school diploma requirements.
IET – HVAC/R students will receive advanced training in both residential and commercial industries. Course content includes instruction in installing, designing, testing, and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This curriculum will lead to highly desirable industry certifications in OSHA10, EPA 608-Universal 410A, NCCER, and NATE-ICE.
The IET – HVAC/R courses are classroom based and require on campus participation at Fred K. Marchman Technical College, however, the program is open to those students enrolled in online GED Preparatory and Adult High School courses.
