Online High School Diploma Options Overview

The online high school diploma options are for those individuals who are seeking to earn their standard high school diploma and have already met several graduation requirements.

Adult High School

The Adult High School program has been established to provide instruction to those students that have withdrawn from high school but need to complete their high school diploma requirements. Students enrolled in this program will be required to meet the graduation requirements of the current year’s cohort of seniors currently enrolled in high school and as determined by the rules and regulations outlined by the Florida Department of Education. Upon completion of the program, students will earn a standard Pasco County Schools Adult High School diploma and have the option to participate in a Pasco County Schools adult education graduation ceremony.

Graduate 24/7

The Graduate 24/7 program is designed to accelerate currently enrolled high school junior and senior students through their remaining graduation requirements to progress toward on-time graduation with their cohort. This program is only available through an approval process, students interested in this program must first work with their high school counselor and/or student services team. Upon completion of this program, students will earn their diploma from their home or referring high school. Students who complete this program with their cohort will be eligible to participate in all graduation activities. Students that are unable to complete this program before the end of the cohort will be able to remain in the program and work toward their home or referring high school diploma and participate in a Pasco County Schools adult education graduation ceremony.

Courses Offered

All Adult High School and Graduate 24/7 courses cover the same standards and carry the same weight as the respective courses offered in the traditional high school setting. The Adult High School or Graduate 24/7 student will be scheduled into online, self-directed, individualized, planned program of instruction designed to accelerate the student through core high school courses. The curriculum offered is approved by the State of Florida and designed to meet the needs of Pasco County Schools’ students, all courses are taught by certified teachers. Courses are available to the student 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the school year.  Graduation assessments, End-of-Course exams, and minimum GPA requirements must also be met to qualify for a standard high school diploma. All graduation requirements are based on the current year cohort as described by the Florida Department of Education.

Requirements for Admission

• Students must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must be withdrawn from high school.
• No high school diploma or equivalent.
• The referring high school and District team must approve graduate 24/7 enrollment.
• Complete an online orientation (link below). 
• Each new semester/term requires a new adult education application and tuition of $30.00 (+$1.20 convenience fee).
