Message from the Superintendent
December 2019

In the last month, we’ve had the opportunity to recognize some outstanding employees in the district.  Our new process for notifying employees of the year by bringing a “Prize Patrol” to their work site and surprising them adds a personal touch and I hope is more meaningful to each winner.  It certainly is fun for those of us who get to witness their reactions.

If you know any of these individuals, I hope you’ll join me in congratulating them:

  • Teacher of the Year Jennifer Dixon, Gulf High School
  • School-Related Person of the Year Andrea Morrow, Gulf High School
  • Principal of the Year JoAnne Glenn, Pasco eSchool
  • Assistant Principal of the Year Josh Borders, R. B. Stewart Middle School
  • District Administrator of the Year, Samantha Del Valle, Office for Leading and Learning
  • Non-Instructional Non-Bargaining Person of the Year, Michelle Bolin, Distribution Services

Pasco County Schools is a large enterprise with more than 10,000 employees who all strive to make your children’s learning experience world-class.  The folks who work behind-the-scenes are just as important to our operation as those you see every day.  They keep our schools and buses running, and I appreciate each and every one of them.

I also appreciate our hard-working students and supportive parents.  Your involvement in your children’s education is the most important factor in their success.  Thank you for all you do for your children and our schools.

Winter break will be here in a couple weeks, and I hope everyone has a safe, joyful, and peaceful holiday.  Merry Christmas!
