Scholarship:

The purpose of high school is to prepare ourselves for the future. With plans to become an educator, I will receive my associate degree prior to my high school graduation and attend the University of Central Florida to major in Elementary Education. My current GPA is 4.46 and I have passed all four components of the General Knowledge Test towards my teacher certification.

Leadership:

As the Florida State President of the FFEA (Florida Future Educators of America), I organize the annual statewide conference with over 500 future teachers and 50 speakers. In addition, I am the President of RRHS’ FFEA Chapter and Executive President of Student Council, in which I lead each of the class presidents for the betterment of my school. I have been an integral part of the New Teacher Academy since its inception 5 years ago.

Service:

Thus far, I have accumulated over 750 volunteer hours, all in the field of education. Through the New Teacher Academy, I have had the opportunity to teach elementary and middle school classes during the day and tutor struggling students at night. I am the Student Volunteer and Inventory Coordinator for Marjorie’s Hope, a local non-profit that provides over 3,500 Pasco County students with school supplies, hygiene products, and other necessities each year.

Citizenship:

I strive each day to make the world a better place and am dedicated to leaving an impact on future generations. I believe I can do so by providing equal opportunities for all students.  I developed a philanthropy called Books by the Beach (BBTB), where Hudson Elementary students participated in a 3-mile scavenger hunt, collecting books from community organizations. BBTB has given out 3,000+ books and changed the lives of 115 students.
