Annual Health Stampede at The Ranch

Who: Wiregrass Ranch High School students, teachers, and local presenters

What: Health Stampede

When: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, February 28

Where: Wiregrass Ranch High School, 2909 Mansfield Boulevard, Wesley Chapel

Why: For the fourth year in a row, Wiregrass Ranch High School is hosting their annual Health Stampede to promote healthy behaviors among students and staff.

How: Participants will experience various presentations that relate to healthy behaviors.

The Pasco Fire Inspector will conduct a fire safety presentation. LA Fitness will feature various fitness programs. Val, the miniature therapy horse from Therapy Adventures, will visit with students. The school’s Medical Academy students will lead discussions and present to the group. Yoga Master Chairman Lewis will speak about the many benefits of meditation. MADD will show presentations related to driving under the influence. SADD will host a presentation that focuses on seat belt awareness. Other participants include Baycare, Poison Control, Positive Coaching Alliance, Nutrition Smart and Project PUP (Pets Uplifting People). Participants can also win prizes.
