New Port Richey City Council Meeting

I recently had the opportunity to address the New Port Richey City Council and share important updates on behalf of Pasco County Schools. It was a meaningful opportunity to highlight the investments our district has made in schools located within the city’s boundaries—investments that are already making a difference in the lives of students and educators.

One of the most exciting updates I was proud to share is the upcoming remodel of Gulf Middle School—a project that represents not only a transformation of a building, but a renewed commitment to students, families, and the future of education in New Port Richey.

We also discussed current highlights and areas of opportunity for our schools in the city. These conversations are essential as we work to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their background or zip code.

I want to sincerely thank the City Council for their engagement, thoughtful questions, and ongoing partnership. It’s clear that they are committed to strengthening the bond between our schools and the broader New Port Richey community.

As I shared with them, I firmly believe that strong schools build strong communities—and strong communities, in turn, help build strong schools. I look forward to continued collaboration as we work hand-in-hand to uplift both.
