Community Partnership Highlight - Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education Program

All of us at Pasco County Schools would like to extend a big thank you to the Tampa Bay Times and its Newspaper in Education (NIE) program. For nearly a decade, the NIE initiative has provided our Pasco County educators and students with invaluable resources — including class sets of the Tampa Bay Times, educational publications, lesson plans, and professional development — all at no cost to our schools and families.

The impact of this partnership is immense. It helps our students connect with current events, build critical thinking skills, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. We’re grateful for the opportunity to use the newspaper as a "living textbook" and for all the support the NIE program continues to provide.
