Out of County School Choice

This site for students who reside within Pasco County and wish to attend a public school in a neighboring county.

Out of county requests must be submitted annually for formal School Board approval.  Apply On-Line here

Please complete an application for each student requesting to exit Pasco County.  All requests to exit Pasco County MUST be presented to the Pasco County School Board for formal Board approval. 

Applications are submitted to the Board on a regular basis.  Please see the Board calendar for specific meeting dates. 

Board procedures require receipt of requests, to place items of business on the agenda, twelve (12) business days in advance.

• An email notification will be sent confirming the receipt of your request within 2 - 3 business days of your submission.  This notification will also confirm the date your request will be submitted to the Board for formal approval.
• Transportation is not an option when requesting to exit Pasco County.
• A separate form must be completed for each child.
• Out of county requests must be submitted annually for formal Board approval.

Please note:  It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to provide the receiving county with a copy of the formal Board approval.
