Lizette Alexander, Director of Student Services
School Safety
The Student Services department provides prevention and intervention programs and services to foster a safe and drug free school environment. Anonymous reporting of bullying and/or criminal activity is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay.
OUR MISSION:
The Student Services Department provides a variety of services to all of Pasco County’s Elementary, Middle, High and Alternative schools. Our mission is to:
- assist parents, students, and schools with meeting the guidance, social, and health needs of our students
- support student achievement
- maintain safe and drug-free environments
- implement federal and state statutes, such as those establishing School Choice and Home Education Programs
- work with the District School Board to identify and implement service improvements
OUR STAFF
Our department staff consists of school guidance counselors, school psychologists, school social workers, school nurses, and staff who specialize in critical support areas. For example, our specialists can assist you with coordinating a Home Education program. Because we process all school choice applications for residents of Pasco county, our specialists can answer your questions related to applying for schools outside your residential area. Our staff ensures that school personnel have access to and are trained in best practices for problem and crisis resolution, prevention and intervention programs, and student engagement. Our professional and knowledgeable staff can assist you with questions or problems about the services we provide.
