The TOOLS Program is an educational intervention for students who are involved in disciplinary action due to substance use, substance possession or fighting/physical aggression. This program is not substance abuse treatment. The purpose is to provide effective prevention education while helping students remain academically engaged by reducing out-of-school suspension. Students found to have been selling or distributing drugs or alcohol are not eligible for the program.
Students may also be referred to the TOOLS Program for the following fighting/physical aggression behavioral incidents: for fights/physical confrontations (2F, 3D FIT, 3E BAT, 3E PHA).
Students referred to the TOOLS Program for fighting/physical aggression will serve five (5) days OSS. If the student does not successfully complete the TOOLS Program, they will serve an additional five (5) days of OSS (for ten (10) days total).
