The New Leader Induction Program

The New Leader Induction Program aims to further develop and support the skills of first year Assistant Principals. Throughout the year a series of workshops will be offered covering a variety of technical topics related to the responsibilities of an assistant principal. In addition, coaching/ mentor support will be provided from a current effective assistant principal around these technical topics as well as other aspects of leadership. This group of new leaders will develop a network of supports and contacts, which will assist with problem-solving site issues in a timely and effective manner.  Our goal is for each new assistant principal to feel supported in the everyday issues of their job.

The dates, times and locations for the 2017-18 sessions will be posted soon.


Attendance in each of these workshops is critical in order to maximize learning and skills development. However, there is no need to register in myPGS, as no professional development points will be awarded.
