Voluntary Pre-K Inclusion Classrooms

As you may know, on June 3, 2014, the School Board approved four inclusion classrooms for children at three sites:
• One Class at Northwest Elementary School
• One Class at Oakstead Elementary School
• Two Classes at Schrader Elementary School

The model approved will provide:

• An extended day model that includes before and after care provided by PLACE in the PreK classroom only during the 180 school days.  Children can be dropped off starting at 6:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.
• A certified teacher and instructional assistant will be providing learning experiences to your child during regular school hours
• Research-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum which will set the foundation for school readiness.

The model is funded by VPK funds and private pay.  The weekly fee for the classroom is $115 per week.  More information regarding the model will be provided to individuals who express an interest for these services.
