Head Start/Early Head Start Applications

The Head Start Program serves 3 and 4 year olds. Early Head Start serves expectant mothers, infants, and toddlers. The District School Board of Pasco County offers FREE Head Start/Early Head Start Programs to all eligible applicants as space is available. Preference for Head Start is given to children who turn 4 years old on or before September 1 of the program year. Children who are turning 3 years old on or before September 1 of the program year may also apply.

Eligibility is based on family need and income. Children with documented disabilities or special needs are given additional points and are encouraged to apply.

To see if you may meet the poverty guidelines please check your family size and annual income on the Department of Health & Human Services Poverty Guidelines page.

At this time our program is full.  Programs have limited enrollment and selection is not made on a first come first served basis. Completing an application does not guarantee a child’s eligibility for services.  All applicants are placed on the waiting list after completing an application in person.  If you have any questions, please email Alexis Russell at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 813-794-2236.
